In a year when national pass rates fell, results at Nuneaton Academy soared!
Today, our students at Nuneaton Academy have shown exactly what it means to belong and excel. Their GCSE results mark a turning point for our school and a moment of real pride for our community.
This year, 60% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and maths, and 47% achieved a strong pass at grade 5 or above. These outcomes represent a dramatic rise from 2024 and show the impact of higher expectations, relentless focus, and belief in every student’s potential.
Among the outstanding individual successes were:
-
Thomas, who achieved seven grade 9s and one grade 8;
-
Max and Ivan, who both achieved five grade 9s;
-
Jhad, who achieved three grade 9s.
A number of other students also secured a string of top grades at levels 7–9, including:
-
Ben, Kalonice, Ryan and Karol (eight subjects each);
-
Casey (seven subjects);
-
Caitlin, Harry and Reiss (six subjects each).
Equally inspiring are the stories of students who made remarkable progress through determination and perseverance:
-
Hishaam, who achieved two grade 5s in English Language and Literature and a grade 4 in maths;
-
Megan and Thomas, who both secured grades 6 and 7 in English, alongside a grade 4 in maths;
-
Lexie, who achieved a grade 9 and 7 in English, plus a grade 5 in maths;
-
Savannah, with a grade 5 and 6 in English and a grade 5 in maths;
-
Emmi, with a grade 5 and 7 in English and a grade 5 in maths.
Principal Mark Dalton said:
“I am incredibly proud of each of our Year 11 students. They have shown grit, determination and ambition, and their results are proof of what can be achieved when young people feel they truly belong and are encouraged to excel.
At a time when national pass rates have fallen, our students’ success stands out. This is a school on the rise. We have been relentless in raising expectations and driving standards, and it is fantastic to see that commitment reflected so strongly in these outcomes.
These results are not only a huge credit to the students, but also to our staff, who go above and beyond every day, and to our families for their vital support. This is not the destination — it is the beginning of a new chapter. The best is still to come for Nuneaton Academy and our community.”
