Students at Nuneaton Academy are marking some excellent individual GCSE results today, with many demonstrating commitment, resilience and academic achievement across a range of subjects.
Among the Academy's highest-performing students are:
- Charlotte C, who achieved an outstanding three Grade 9s and six Grade 8s;
- Lorelai I, who secured four Grade 8s and five Grade 7s;
- Isabelle M, who achieved two Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, three Grade 7s and one Grade 6;
- Leon M, who earned one Grade 9, two Grade 8s, five Grade 7s and one Grade 5;

- Albert P, who joined the Academy later in his secondary education and achieved one Grade 8, one Grade 7, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s and one Grade 4.
The results of the whole cohort build upon the sustained improvement the Academy has made, which was also ratified by Ofsted as part of an inspection during the academic year. In their report, the inspector had added their praise for the way "staff support pupils well to make rapid progress within lessons", which has meant that pupils "increasingly achieve well" and are "well prepared for their next steps".
Today’s GCSE outcomes also reflect the hard work and determination of students, as well as the support of families and staff at the Academy. Commenting on their results, students were keen to thank the staff team for all their help in preparing them for their exams.
Riley L said:
“I feel amazing – thank you to all my teachers for everything.”
Albert P added:
“I am over the moon with my results; I only started the school in Year 10 and have achieved so much in the two years – thank you to Nuneaton Academy!”
Rose A said:
“I am so happy. I tried my hardest and cannot wait to see what the future brings, thank you to all of my teachers.”
Leon M added:
“I feel like I will look back on this last year and remember that all the hard work was worth it! In Media I went from a 5 -> 8!”
Mark Dalton, Principal of Nuneaton Academy, said:
“I am immensely proud of every one of our pupils today. These results reflect their determination, resilience and the support of their families and teachers throughout their time at Nuneaton Academy.
“Once again, our pupils have achieved outcomes that significantly surpass those secured before the Academy joined United Learning. This sustained improvement means more young people will go on to a strong set of destinations, reflecting the high expectations and aspirations they hold for themselves.
“My warmest congratulations go to all of our leavers, and in particular to those whose exceptional achievements are recognised today.”
As students prepare for the next stage of their education, training or employment, everyone at Nuneaton Academy congratulates them on their achievements and wishes them every success in the future.
