Anti-Bullying at Nuneaton Academy
At Nuneaton Academy, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our school community. Bullying of any kind is not tolerated, and we take all concerns seriously.
What is bullying?
Bullying is behaviour that is repeated, intentional, and aimed at causing harm, distress, or fear. This can include:
- Verbal bullying (name-calling, insults)
- Physical bullying (hitting, pushing)
- Social bullying (excluding others, spreading rumours)
- Online or cyberbullying (messages, social media, or gaming platforms)
Our approach
We are proactive in preventing bullying and supporting students by:
- Promoting a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusion
- Encouraging students to speak up and report concerns
- Providing support for both those experiencing bullying and those involved in bullying behaviour
- Working closely with parents/carers to resolve issues quickly and effectively
All reports are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly by our pastoral team.
Reporting concerns
We encourage students and parents/carers to report any concerns about bullying as soon as possible. This can be done by speaking directly to a member of staff or by contacting us via email:
bullying@nuneatonacademy.org.uk
Please include as much detail as possible so we can take appropriate action.
Supporting our community
Everyone has a role to play in creating a positive school environment. We ask all students to:
- Treat others with respect
- Stand up for others in a safe and appropriate way
- Report any concerns they have
Together, we can ensure that Nuneaton Academy remains a safe place where every student feels valued and supported.
